Wm. Spurgeon (Billy) Scott began his gardening proclivity as a child, helping his grandmother in her 

expansive vegetable and flower gardens. Pursuing this nascent passion, he studied Ornamental Horticulture & Landscape Design at university, earning both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. During his undergraduate years, he completed an internship as a resident horticulturist for a Fortune 500 company, where he cared for the grounds of the corporate campus. As a landscape designer & horticulturist for a national landscape firm, he left his mark on numerous commercial and municipal properties throughout the Eastern and Southeastern United States. In 2006, he established his own landscape design business in Lexington, KY, subsequently becoming a consultant/horticulturist for Eastern Kentucky University's main campus "The Campus Beautiful". For over a decade, he and his team meticulously curated the campus's beauty, from historic to modern structures, leaving a lasting impact on students, faculty, and visitors that's even still enjoyed. Today, Scott Fine Gardens remains dedicated to delivering practical, functional, and stunning landscape solutions for homes, estates, farms, and commercial properties.
